LOLA MAKEUP Matte Silky Finish Pressed Powder & Ultra Shine Lipstick [review]

Hello hello everyone~ Have you heard cosmetic brand from UK named LOLA Makeup by Perse (UK)? Today I'm going to share my thoughts about LOLA Makeup products that I received recently. To be honest this was my first time heard about LOLA Makeup and also my first time trying two of their products. Packaging
Since LOLA Makeup is categorized as high end brand, LOLA's packaging is far from cute type of cosmetic packaging (you know, I'm a big fan of cute packaging :P) yet their packaging are mostly designed in black color that looks luxury and professional. This Matte Silky Finish Pressed Powder includes thin velvety puff as applicator and doesn't has separator between powder and puff.
The packaging isn't too sturdy but quite handy.

IMHO this puff is kinda strange and not practical. I'm not used to apply powder with velvety thin puff and I don't know how to use this puff properly.. I mean, it doesn't has handle and I'm not always in a situation where I can do touch up with clean hand, which is I prefer to work with puff that has handle on the top :| Especially when the powder doesn't has separator... 

So after I did photo shoot of these products, I threw away the puff and I apply the powder with my own puff or powder brush so the bacteria can't contaminate the powder.

However, the Lola letters that embossed on the powder is so pretty, isn't it? :D

and if you look at the photo on the right bottom, the velvety thin puff absorbed too much powder and can't do a decent job as a puff...

Scent & Texture

I almost can't smell anything from this powder, as I know it doesn't contains fragrance; which is good for people with sensitive skin :) the texture is smooth and generates matte silky finish.

Overall Thoughts

Unfortunately this pressed powder is just so-so for me... The coverage is also too sheer...

I think, this pressed powder only can be used as setting powder (after foundation or BB cream) but not for daily basis makeup. Sorry I can't provide swatch this product, because shade that I picked is too light and it can't be captured by my camera *___* However the shade is match perfectly with my skin tone (or is it because the coverage is too sheer? LOL).

Packaging
Just like the pressed powder, this Ultra Shine Lipstick has velvet surfaced packaging and look so elegant. The shape of the bullet is easy to work with but the cap is a bit loose, I almost lose the cap inside my purse last week.

022 BLUSH PINK

020 Barely There, 021 Passion Pink, 022 Blush Pink, 023 Show Stopper, 024 Candy Pink, 025 Sunset Red, 027 Sugar Plum, 030 Berry Burst, 031 Chiffon Red, 034 Spiced Wine, 035 Berry Crush, 037 Blushing Rose

I wonder what happens here, but when I made swatch on my hand, it looks more like peachy pink; meanwhile when I apply it onto my lips, it become more dolly pink... o_O not sure what happened here, but I did took photos of my lips under natural lighting and artificial lighting, and both looked more pinkish than the actual swatch!

Though I'm bit confused... I don't mind with the result on my lips, as the pink has warm undertone instead of cool undertone; and I like it so much! The color is much wearable in real life and this lipstick is one of my favorite lippies now ^__^

Scent & Texture

The lipstick has faint scent that I didn't notice at first, until I sniffed the bullet LOL. I have hard time to describe the scent, but at least the scent isn't annoying at all. This lipstick also got nice, and smooth texture. 

Overall Thoughts
I fallen in love for the first time when I tried this lipstick. The longevity maybe so-so, but the color captivated me and it's so wearable in real life. It doesn't dry out my lips but not so moisturizing either. But overall this lipstick is quite good to be added into your lipstick stash :)

Cons (-)

- Not kissproof nor transferproof

- Only lasted for around 3-4 hours

- Quite pricey

I think in Indonesia LOLA Makeup is hard to be found, but worry no more!
