F&B: BA-BEH STREET Surabaya [review]

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I wrote F&B post on this blog ♥
As you know, I just settled down with my new work and office :) So thankful because I learned many new things and I work on my favorite field! Will tell you the details later :D So basically my energy drained fast as soon as I reached home lol. Finally I managed to finished one more post in my draft list XD

Last month I visited another restaurant (or cafe?) named "Babeh Street" or "Ba-beh Street". I guess it isn't supposed to be called beibih but baaa-beh. This cafe is located on near Grand City

This cafe have quite spacious parking lot, that's nice :D

I hadn't heard about this cafe until one of my friend mention it. Actually Surabaya Beauty Bloggers' community made a casual gathering few months ago (in July perhaps?) but it the end I couldn't join due to some reasons :(( So when my friend suggested this cafe again to hold a meeting, I agreed :p

Look at the simple yet cute drum decorations :)) They're seeing each other lol!

I came to this place on Saturday noon, and this place was quite packed with customers but gladly few spaces still remained. When I entered this cafe, I must say... this cafe is well designed and really attractive for everyone especially young people :)

Pantry... oops, IMO they were not supposed to leave the mineral water box & gallons there ._.

VIP room, or you may call it a private room for private event! Just in case you want to host a private event / gathering, you surely can reserve this are in prior.

This is smoking area... which was I hated terribly that day, because there are bunch of people who held private gathering and they smoked together... -____-" non smoking & smoking areas are actually separated by doors, but the doors were opened about 40% of the time, which mean we (me and my team mates) partially inhaled the smokes, and it tortured us really bad.. :'s Until my friend's hubby couldn't hold it anymore and told us to move to other vacant tables..

They have nice & clean rest rooms here, so you don't need to be worry :)

Well... yeah.. the menu book were quite dirty, messy and curled up here and there... x_x

I think they need to renew the menu book haha...

Nasi Daging Babeh - IDR 29,700

As you can see, there are sprinkles of chili here.. it means this dish is relatively spicy but not too spicy (I still can bear it). But I'm worried there were some previous customers that didn't like spicy food and couldn't eat it because it's spicy... FYI there's no explanation on the menu book and it will surely misled anyone ._.

Anyway, despite of unpleasant things that I encountered when I eating, I guess I will repeat order this menu... Because the beef meat (empal) was surprisingly so tender and juicy :)

I also love its sauce as well.. rich and melted on my mouth :D

Pretty much plain... >_< I forgot what was my guess at that time, but I guessed its taste was really similar with Milo or Indomilk Cair.. hahaha.. And unfortunately the size was so tiny... ._.

Indo-mee Sambal Matah - IDR 13,700

I actually wanted to ordered this menu, since I'm a big fan of sambal matah but I didn't order it because I was afraid the portion of this Indo-mee can't satisfy my appetite. So, when my friend ordered it, we're all startled by the appearance of this Indo-mee.. It's pale and didn't look appetizing at all ._. still far from my expectation..

I asked my friend how did it taste and she said it tasteless and the amount of Sambal Matah on plate was also far from her expectation. Luckily my other friend "donated" her unwanted chili sauces to this plate so this Indo-mee looked more appetizing and more savoury. lol

Sorry I forgot what was it (probably Tahu Tek or something)... My friend who ordered it didn't feel like finish the meal because she had no idea that the meal was spicy food! Again.. blame on the misleading menu book -___-" She barely ate more than half of this food because she couldn't touch the chili sauce :s Poor Dyta..





Actually I quite like the ambiance, interior, restroom & food... But if I'm allowed to give some suggestions, I think they should change the misleading menu book, spice up their food, and install automatic separator doors that will shut themselves after getting opened, so other customers won't be distracted by unnecessary unpleasant smell ^_^;;
So I think that's all! This cafe could be an alternative if you want to look for cozy cafe with affordable prices :)
