ZAP Facial Rejuvenation [review]

Hi guys, today I'm gonna share my latest experience doing facial treatment in ZAP last month. ZAP outlet that I visited is located in Surabaya, and this was not my first time being there. I ever tried their IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment in 2012.. when my blog was still ugly and need lots of improvements XD LOL. Here's the review of my ZAP IPL treatment, I got a hair removal treatment for my bottom leg.

Actually I didn't know that ZAP also provides facial treatment, until one day they offered me a free trial of their facial treatment through e-mail. Later on, I tried to make a reservation for myself but they failed to response my countless phone calls for 2 days in row '___' At day 3, finally they answered my call and we arranged an appointment. When I met ZAP's staffs in person, I asked them why no one pick up my phone, they apologized and explained that they were overload by customers for 2 days full and not able to pick the phone. Oh.. okay, never mind. Gladly I could arranged an appointment at the end.

Before my second visit to ZAP, I read Dyta's review (one of my fellow Surabaya Beauty Blogger friends) about her experience doing ZAP Facial Rejuvenation and her photos startled me enough.. I don't know if ZAP Surabaya Outlet has changed their appearance! Yes, they've done total renovation of their outlet and I must say that I love their new appearance ^.^ Compared to their old-vintage outlet, the new one absolutely looks better, modern and more appealing!

Though the front desk looked empty, but in the fact, most of the time ZAP's staffs always show up and ready to offer their help. When I introduced myself as a blogger who got an invitation e-mail, they welcomed me warmly. I don't need to fill in any form because I have been registered as their member. As soon as I took out my camera and about to snap this front desk, the present staff was shy and promptly stepped away from my lens. LOL. I assume that she doesn't want to be exposed on public blog :p

Back in 2012 when they only had 1 treatment room, customers had to wait patiently for their turns. But worry no more, now ZAP Surabaya has 3 treatment rooms ^.^ Don't they look so comfy and homey? With this renovation, I'm sure the customers will love ZAP more!

TREATMENT TIME!

After waited few minutes, they allowed me to get into treatment room. This spacious room is divided into two small sections and I was ready to get my facial skin rejuvenated ^.^

Another thing that surprised me is.. a hanging TV..

Yeah, you can watch TV while getting your treatment done O_O

This is my first time seeing a TV that installed on ceiling instead of wall!

In this position, customers are able to watch TV comfortably and effortlessly, and it is a thoughtful idea. Though I was somewhat afraid the TV will falls on me XDD LOL.

Step by Step ZAP Facial Rejuvenation

1. Cleansing

First of all, the therapist cleansed my face makeup by using sort of cleansing milk and gave me a gentle massage. She didn't cleanse some parts of my face like eyebrow, eyelid and lips. I think ZAP do it on purpose, so that customers can continue their activities again without retouch their eye and lip makeup.

2. Applying cool gel

The therapist put a total black goggles onto my eyes and started to apply cool gel all over my face. The cool gel is a must before doing any IPL treatment.

3. Rejuvenate Skin with IPL

Later on, dr. Rizki changed position with the therapist and started to illuminate my skin with IPL machine, gradually and gently. The light will leaves warm and startling sensation on skin. The warmth slightly increased whenever it reaches some hairy parts of my face (like forehead and upper lips). Its sensation did startled me few times, but this process was like piece of cake compared to regular blackheads extraction in aesthetic clinic XD Totally bearable.

Selama disinari oleh alat tersebut, aku ngga merasakan sakit sama sekali. Hanya terasa hangat dan sedikit ada rasa "kejut" nya begitu :p jadi jangan takut, masih jauh lebih sakit ekstraksi komedo di klinik estetika kok >_< Sejauh ini rasa hangatnya sih masih termasuk nyaman bagiku, hanya saja sinarnya terasa agak panas pas menyinari bagian-bagian mukaku yang ada rambut-rambut halusnya (seperti di dahi dan atas bibir).

4. Cleansing & Sunscreen

Last step, my face was cleansed again with something cool. I think it's ice water. My face felt so fresh and chilly after the treatment and cleansing step :p Lastly, the therapist applied sun spray SPF 50+ / PA+++ onto my face and I'm allowed to put makeup again afterwards :D

The Facial Rejuvenation has done! :D So fast, isn't it? My treatment was done in around 15-20 minutes, because I also took time to snap some photos. Now, I guess our men won't nag at us if they only have to wait for 10-20 minutes :p :p hihi

RESULT

After the Facial Rejuventation, my skin feels fresher and firmer as well. The brightening effect isn't noticeable, but ZAP's staff said that my skin looked glowing :) But I think if you want to achieve more noticeable result, I think you should do this treatment for more than once ^.^

Anyway, I don't know if this is relate to the treatment or not.. But, after I get Face Rejuvenation done, my lips area (if you're my old reader, you must know that my lips area prone to dry whenever I lack of water intake, drastic weather changes or incorrect product) become really dry and quite flaky >_< I have to exfoliate and apply lots of hydrating cream every night in order to make my lip area back to normal. I'm clueless about what has happened, but I can't assume if this treatment caused dryness on my lips area, because at the same time I also have sore throat and my body isn't fit enough.

Sehabis treatment, kulit jadi terasa lebih segar dan agak kencang juga. Untuk efek cerahnya sih ngga begitu keliatan ya (mungkin karena baru 1x perawatan), tapi staff ZAP bilang kalo kulitku nampak glowing gitu :) Jadii kalau kalian mau efek yang lebih keliatan, kurasa kalian harus melakukan perawatan ini lebih dari 1x ^.^

Anyway, aku ngga tau sih hal ini masih berhubungan atau ngga, tapi setelah aku selesai melakukan perawatan peremajaan kulit ini, daerah bibirku (yang rentan kering kapanpun aku kurang minum air, perubahan cuaca atau produk yang tidak tepat) menjadi sangat kering dan agak pecah-pecah >_< Jadinya aku harus mengeksfoliasi dan memakai krim pelembab yang banyak supaya kondisi daerah bibirku bisa kembali ke semula. Aku ngga paham sih kenapa tiba-tiba kok jadi begitu, tapi aku juga ngga menyimpulkan kalo itu dikarenakan perawatan Facial Rejuvenate ini, karena kebetulan aku juga sedang panas dalam, sakit tenggorokan dan tubuhku sedang tidak fit.

I swear I even didn't apply face powder on this photo.. I only re-apply concealer (for my under eye) and lipstick, because I looked so pale. Sorry for my messy hair, I just got up from bed XD.
